Carousel is one of Melbourne’s most prestigious and iconic venues. Located on Albert Park Lake with uninterrupted views of Melbourne’s city skyline, Carousel is operated by caterer’s food&desire.

The Bel Air style entry with turquoise tiled ponds creates a sense of occasion and glamour. The original revolving carousel has been revived within the white terrazzo dance floor, with a warm sophisticated blend of fine textures and natural tones used to create a minimalistic event space. Carousel’s balcony is ideal for welcome cocktails with fireworks over Albert Park Lake to set off your event. A marquee can be added onto the venue to create an adjoining event space. The opportunity exists to incorporate vehicles inside and around the venue.

Additional features include state-of-art audio visual, operable walls, automated blackout blinds and ceiling rigging bars.

Corporate events

Carousel is ideal for seminars, conferences, luncheons, meetings, product launches, fashion shows, celebratory dinners and cocktail parties. Our experienced events team will assist and support your event planning and logistical details involved with third party contractors, organising staging, AV, theming, hiring and designing the event program. The food&desire goal is to ensure your event is organised and managed successfully.

food&desire is recognised in premium catering and service. An extensive variety of menus, incorporating premium wines and cocktails ensure your guests are provided with a culinary experience.

Weddings

Ceremony

Carousel is available for wedding ceremonies. Your ceremony can be held in the Palms courtyard, on the white terrazzo tile, or the balcony. Ivory carpet and Carousel chairs are provided. Ceremony charge of $1,750.00 applies.

Albert Park’s Amphitheatre, located next to Carousel, is also an ideal location for outdoor ceremonies. Parks Victoria permit is required and permits are from $200.00 inclusive of GST. Please visit ParksVictoria or contact your Event Sales Executive to discuss further.

Co-ordinating

Our Events team offer assistance with all your wedding plans. Our service extends beyond food & beverage design. We will support you in the planning all logistical matters such as hiring, deliveries, audio visual, lighting and theming requirements. We require direct liaison with relevant sub-contractors and yourselves, to ensure the successful co-ordination of all aspects of your wedding.

Celebration

Your wedding celebration can be held in one of Carousel’s event spaces, using the remarkably designed operable walls and curtain system the event space can expand and contract. The ‘Bel Air’ palms, turquoise ponds, white terrazzo dance floor and modern furniture create a sense of glamour and occasion.
